A Posthumous Fantasy set among firefighting pilots. Pete dies in a crash and finds himself in a sort of New Age Afterlife where the Angel Hap explains to him that new pilots are always trained by the Ghosts of dead ones. He is assigned to train Ted, but finds Ted is also taking over the affections of Pete's bereaved lover Dorinda. Only when Pete realizes he must release his emotional grip on Dorinda is he fit to ascend to a higher spiritual plane. The tale is slight and trite; the movie is long. [JG]
