Tagged: Author.

(1957-    ) US writer in whose first novel, A Necklace of Fallen Stars (1979), a young princess baulks at the wrong marriage. Of rather more interest is the Dreamweaver YA sequence – Colors in the Dreamweaver's Loom (1989) and The Feast of the Trickster (1991) – in which an adolescent girl crosses the Threshold into a Secondary World, where she is known as the Wanderer, and, with the aid of a Seven-Samurai group of Companions possessing various Talents, works to keep things from falling apart. In the second volume, back on Earth and afflicted with Amnesia concerning her sojourn, she must find the Trickster god who is putting the secondary world out of joint. [JC]

other works: A Murder for Her Majesty (1986), associational.
